Marcel Arsenault

Marcel Arsenault is CEO and Founder of Real Capital Solutions, a Colorado-based private equity firm specializing in distressed real estate investment. Marcel has actively participated in the acquisition and redevelopment of more than 200 commercial and multifamily buildings totaling nearly $2 billion, making him one of the largest and most active private owners of commercial real estate in the western United States. 

Marcel describes himself as a “real estate theorist who lives in the real world”. For example, in 2006 he observed that tremendous real estate debt levels would implode, causing a recession and collapse in real estate values. Marcel’s foresight allowed him to liquidate 80% of his holdings despite widespread industry belief that commercial real estate remained a safe investment.

Marcel is now redeploying his capital and forming strategic partnerships, with projected acquisitions of $2 billion 2012-2015.

Marcel obtained a B.Sc. degree from McGill University and pursued a Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of Colorado before embarking on his entrepreneurial career.
