Al Brooks is head of the Commercial Term Lending business for JPMorgan Chase & Co. In this role, Al oversees a franchise that is a market leader in the multi-family and commercial mortgage lending business, and the nation's top originator of multifamily loans.
Prior to joining Chase, Al spent ten years with Washington Mutual. As president of the Commercial Group, he was responsible for directing the commercial lending activities of the bank, including multi-family lending, commercial mortgage lending, commercial real estate lending and wholesale commercial lending.
Previously, Al held the position of Commercial chief lending officer for Washington Mutual, and prior to that role, he was division executive of the company’s Multi-Family Lending business, which provides financing for the purchase or refinancing of existing properties with five or more units in 15 major United States markets. With more than 20 years of banking experience, he has also held positions at Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
A graduate of California State University, Al earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting.
