Mr. Dowling holds a Master's of Real Estate from New York University and has 12 years of real estate industry experience having been involved in real estate debt and equity transactions aggregating over $5 billion across all major property sectors. Mr. Dowling is currently a Managing Director with Ninigret Realty Capital, a boutique real estate investment company wholly owned by The Ninigret Group, which invests opportunistically in debt, equity, and hybrid investments. His previous work experience includes time on the mortgage backed securities desk at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, 4 years as a commercial loan officer for the Real Estate Groups at Wells Fargo Bank and National Australia Bank, and 4 years running the Acquisitions / Capital Markets Group for Antares Investment Partners, an investment and development company (formerly) based in Stamford, CT. Prior to joining Strategic Capital Solutions, Mr. Dowling served as a Director with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P., one of the largest and most successful commercial real estate capital intermediaries in the country.
Mr. Dowling is an adjunct professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, a board member of the New York University Alumni Association, and a founding member, and current president, of the Young Real Estate Professionals (YREP); serving over 5,000 active members in the NY tri-state area. In addition, Mr. Dowling is a trustee and executive board member of the Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem, which caters to high functioning children with autism spectrum disorders. Mr. Dowling and his wife live in Manhattan with their two children.
