Michael Marino is an executive vice president and division
manager in the Wells Fargo Real Estate Banking Group (REBG). Based in Brentwood, Calif.,
he is responsible for overseeing lending and overall operations for the Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Calif., Phoenix, and San
Diego markets.
The Real Estate Banking Group provides a broad range of real
estate financial products to well-capitalized commercial and residential real estate
developers, operators, and investors, such as privately held companies, real estate funds,
and public and private real estate investment trusts (REITs). The products include
senior secured and unsecured debt on a recourse and non-recourse basis, as well as mezzanine
debt, equity, and structured debt products.
Mike joined Wells Fargo in 1988 as part of the credit management
training program. After completing the program, he was assigned to the Irvine, Calif.,
office as a relationship manager. In 1995, he was promoted to manager of the REBG
Sacramento office and in 1998, assumed the role of manager of the REBG Los Angeles
office. In 2006 he was promoted to his current position as division manager.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Mike worked as a mechanical
engineer. He received an M.B.A. in finance from San Diego State
University in 1988 and a
B.S. in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at
Stony Brook in 1983.
Mike’s professional affiliations include the Urban Land
Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, and the NAIOP. He is active in his
community and volunteers his time with the Boy Scouts of America, the City of Hope, and the Economic
Resources Corporation.
Mike, his wife, and two sons
live in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
